1) Make money online with credibility and control

If you are starting a new online business or new website, you must make your own website for brand credibility and control. Spend your time to advertise YOUR business name instead ofadvertising another website's name.

For example, you'll do better with a website like www.mybusinessname.com instead ofwww.freeuglysite.com/members/mybusinessname which will impose restrictions and can be shut down any time.

2) Maximize your online affiliate income

If you are trying to make money online with affiliate programs, you can maximize your income with your own website. Some people believe they can make money online by just promoting other websites because you would get your own free affiliate website page to promote. However, you'll find that many websites will not let you to advertise an affiliate link.

Also, you are stuck with whatever "free" website page you are given...so you cannot customize or improve the website to differentiate your business and close the sale. Without your own website, you lose control over the process, your business, and your online income.

3) Provide value and information to customers

If you make your own website, you can provide more VALUE to your customers instead of a lot of ugly ads and limitations that the free sites impose. You'll be judged by visitors based on how valuable your website information is to them. You'll have to make your own website for full control over your content and business.
